Job Expired

Well-established firm in London seeks high quality contentious probate specialist to lead an established department, handling a variety of probate disputes as well as Court of Protection litigation and charities disputes.

The firm is a well-known name within the London legal market, and offers an impressive range of services to both commercial and private clients as well as charities. An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced probate litigation lawyer to join the firm heading up this practice area, and applications are sought from genuine contentious probate specialists who have the desire to handle high quality work on a regular basis.

You will have strong technical skills and a broad range of experience within the contentious probate sector advising on, inter alia:

– contesting wills;
– trust disputes;
– removal of trustees and executors;
– acting for claimants under the Inheritance Act and
– advising on professional negligence and rectification claims against others solicitors and will writers.

You will be ACTAPS-qualified (or working towards this) and likely have accrued 8+yrs PQE within the contentious probate sector, with the technical skills and gravitas to oversee more junior members of the department with their own caseloads of probate litigation and providing advice where required. Experience of advising on matters at the upper end of market for HNW individuals would be beneficial, as would some knowledge of advising on contentious Court of Protection matters.

Remuneration is highly competitive and there is no requirement for a following, although naturally candidates who can generate referrals from their own sources will be of particular interest. The firm also offers an attractive hybrid working arrangement, meaning up to 3 days per week can be spent working from home.
