This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer at associate/senior associate level to join a leading global law firm which only deals with the absolute premium end of the market.
The firm is looking to recruit a high calibre corporate law specialist for its Birmingham office to work alongside a partner who deals almost exclusively with cross-border transactions and where deals valued into the billions are the norm.
The firm is seeking a top-level corporate lawyer who is likely to come from a Tier 1 international firm, either in the Midlands or one of the other key legal hubs, or potentially a City lawyer with ties to the Birmingham area and who wants a role offering Magic Circle/US firm quality work without a regular commute into London. Prior experience of dealing with high value corporate M&A matters is a must, whilst private equity and/or growth capital knowledge would also be beneficial although not essential – the firm’s excellent training programme will get you up to speed in any areas where you might lack in-depth knowledge.
This is an exceptional role – and the firm is seeking an exceptional corporate lawyer to fill it. You will have strong technical skills and be looking for the opportunity to work on some of the biggest deals in the market, as well as the opportunity to diversify into deal-by-deal fundraising and co-investments which are also handled within the team.
To reflect the calibre of corporate lawyer the firm is hoping to attract the remuneration package attached to this role far exceeds the market rate for a role in the regions, and not only includes an excellent salary but also a superb bonus scheme. Due to the structure of the team it is expected that the successful applicant will be a self-driven corporate lawyer of circa 2-5yrs PQE who is looking for a challenging role yet which offers great scope for career advancement and where you will be regularly handling matters which are simply not found outside of the top London firms.
