Exceptional opportunity for a corporate specialist to join a leading Top 50 national firm in Birmingham at partner level.
My client is a leading player within the UK market with a clear vision for further growth in the near future. As part of this expansion strategy an opportunity has arisen for an experienced corporate specialist to join the firm as a partner and take on a key role within the further development of the corporate practice.
You will be an experienced corporate partner (or designate) with a diverse range of transactional skills, able to turn your hand to matters likely to include M&A, MBO/MBIs, private equity, reorganisations, joint ventures and/or capital market transactions, and who is used to advising an impressive client base featuring both UK-based and international businesses, investment funds, start-ups and public sector bodies.
This is an exceptional opening for a driven corporate partner who is seeking a role where there is clear scope to develop and grow a practice, but which comes without the millstone of having to guarantee a sizeable following, as the firm takes a more rounded and long-term approach to recruiting and business planning. As such, whilst you will be expected to have strong client generation skills and the ability to attract and retain clients, the firm is happy to speak to proven operators who might not be in a position to bring a certain level of work straight away (although those who can are also of interest!)
