My client is a well-established firm on the outskirts of Birmingham with an excellent reputation both for the quality of its work and for being a genuinely nice place to be, with many of the staff having been there for a number of years and progressed from junior lawyers into key senior members of the team.
 
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation lawyer to join the practice in a head of department role, taking over from the incumbent in a position which offers access to quality work as well as the opportunity to really make the role your own, in addition to having scope for entry into the equity in the not-too-distant future.
 
The firm acts for an impressive client base of local and national businesses and as such you will have exposure to a variety of dispute resolution matters including shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence, IP litigation, contractual disputes, property litigation, debt recovery and some contentious employment matters. The firm is also seeing an increase in the level of contentious probate instructions it is receiving, and so candidates with experience in this area will also be of interest.

Due to the supervisory requirements of the role and the seniority of the position it is anticipated that the successful applicant will have accrued circa 8+years PQE or equivalent, although exceptional candidates with 5+yrs are encouraged to apply.
