Housing Litigation Senior Associate 132 views

Thriving Legal 500 practice in South London seeks experienced housing litigation specialist to join its market-leading team in a key role, acting as number two to the partner who heads up this team.
The firm has a well-earned reputation as a leading provider of legal services within this sector, acting for a broad client base including social housing providers, private landlords and local authorities. The team has grown already in recent times but the firm is now looking to recruit a high calibre individual into a key strategic role, which will provide access to both quality work and also to business development opportunities, as you assist with further growth of the department in the local area.
You will be an experienced housing litigator of circa 5+yrs PQE or equivalent who is looking to take on a new and exciting opportunity, with a proven track record for dealing with a diverse range of matters including possession proceedings, anti-social behaviour, disrepair claims, abandonment, rent arrears and tenancy fraud. You may also have dealt with some non-contentious matters within the housing sector, such as drafting of tenancy agreements and policies; knowledge of these would be beneficial, but the it is the litigious experience which is key for this opportunity.
You will have the opportunity to get involved in marketing and client generation opportunities as you build your practice further, and applicants with contacts and connections in this area already will be of particular interest.
This is an exceptional and rare opportunity to join one of the strongest firms in the region for this sort of work in a newly-created role, with scope to ‘make it your own’. On top of an attractive remuneration package, likely to include a salary in the region of £60-70k, the firm also offers hybrid working arrangements for those looking for additional flexibility.
