Superb opportunity for a corporate law specialist looking to take on a unique role within a thriving national player
My client is a very highly-regarded national firm which has an excellent reputation within the market, striking a perfect balance between offering high quality work and access to a top calibre client base yet still having a real commitment to the welfare of its staff, including the permanent implementation of a flexible working policy.
As part of its strategic aims for 2022 the firm is looking to recruit a senior corporate lawyer to take on a unique role, establishing and growing a transactional management offering to sit within the corporate M&A team yet which will also involve co-ordinating input from experts across the firm.
The team will be tasked with handling the due diligence behind corporate transactions and also ‘health-checking’ clients which the firm is likely to take to market, and in addition to carrying out the corporate & commercial due diligence you will also be pulling together input from other practice areas such as employment, real estate, tax and pensions to ensure that all transactions can progress without a hitch.
This is a new role and it is expected that the successful applicant will have some prior experience in a similar vein, as you will be tasked with building the offering and will have the knowledge of where the best use of existing resource is, as well as where additional recruitment is required.
This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to genuinely ‘make a role their own’. There is no requirement for a following, although naturally applicants with contacts will be of particular interest. Due to the requirement to fully understand each element of a corporate transaction (and to manage a team doing so) it is expected that the successful applicant will have accrued circa 10yrs PQE or equivalent, although applicants at all levels of qualification who can display the necessary proven experience within this field will be considered.
Due to the firm’s national presence and flexible working policies they are willing to look at applicants nominally based in almost any of the main legal hubs across the country, and there is no need to visit the office every day.
Remuneration is excellent and should attract the best talent in the market.
